Now they need a Business Analyst with preferably some current RPG ILE skills – very little programming if any in this position. Must have excellent user interface skills, be able to learn and understand their business which is continually growing. Work as a liaison between the users and developers to develop systems that take advantage of existing data and new requirements for that data. Be able to see the big picture yet attentive to details. They are committed to the IBMi platform and RPG ILE and RPG Free Form.  Analyze business processes with respect to software running on IBM iSeries platforms.  Must understand manufacturing systems, Order Processing, MRP. Filled by Excel Technical - Southern California - RPG Contract Programmer Analyst  -  West Covina,  Need 4+ Contractors.  This is a short but critical project to migrate data from a new acquisition within a 10 week window.  We are lining up contractors for this project that could start mid-to-late August. Since the project is short, vacations are not an option. This will be a tight deadline once it starts. Data must be converted in a very tight window.  Need Sr. Level or seasoned RPG ILE and RPG400 skills.  Take hard coded data from new acquisition and migrate it to our client's customer files, billing information and history.  Basic RPG400, ILE and SQL a big plus for this heads down project.  Need full-time people to do a minimum of 40 hours per week on-site.  No special packages, just veteran RPG400 ILE.  This is a corp-to-corp or DBA. About 70% Programming and 25% support EDI needs, 5% basic Windows skills. The EDI is running smooth, but there are occasional new request from customers or adding a new customer, checking on EDI transactions, or charge-backs/credits where you need to understand the wholesale distribution side of EDI. Iowa - RPG ILE & Free Form - learn Visual RPG & GUI modernization on IBM i -  IBM i RPG ILE, RPG Open Access, Systems Administration, Imaging, Document Management, Windows Servers, - PHP and Visual RPG a plus. Current environment is two IBM System i’s Power 7, OS V7.R1, High Availability, Integrated Windows Servers on the IBM i. Current IT Manager is hands-on himself and has a Sr Programmer Analyst and a Jr Programmer (PHP skills) hired right out of school. They support four divisions, and currently need one Sr. Programmer to be fully dedicated to a particular division, which is why they would like someone who can handle a variety of responsibilities. This position needs a self-starter who will be primarily responsible for programming, but also needs to support any hardware issues on the IBM i as well.  They have currently have two IBM System i’s with Integrated Servers and Vision High Availability.  They have developed their own Warehouse Management Systems and most code is in ILE RPG although they have started using Open Access.  They are wanting to modernize their systems with a GUI front end. They are using ASNA’s Visual RPG aka Wings to interface with the RPG Systems and produce GUI applications.  ASNA Wings modernization tool, allows you to quickly and efficiently convert the old 5250 green-screen legacy display files into .NET ASPX Web forms. They are heavily involved with document imaging and using RVI Document Management systems (Real Vision Software). They are also doing Web Services using PHP on the IBM i.
